The Old, Old Story: The Woman at the Well

John  4:6-26, 29, 39-42

Breaking Down the Barriers (vs. 6-9):

The Living Water (vs. 10-15):

They shall not hunger or thirst, neither scorching wind nor sun shall strike them, for he who has pity on them will lead them, and by springs of water will guide them. Isaiah 49:10

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.

Revelation 22:1, 17

Facing the Truth (vs. 15-21):

Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.       Proverbs 28:13

Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

       James 1:21

The True Worship (vs. 22-26):

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.      Psalm 29:2

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellences of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

    1 Peter 2:9

Telling the Story (vs. 29, 39-42):

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.   Matthew 28:19-20
