Fruits of the Spirit!

Sermon scripture: Galatians 5:22-26
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
The believer is to walk bearing the fruit of God's Spirit (vs. 22-23): fruit of love: “The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31 fruit of joy: The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. Psalm 19:8 fruit of peace: “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 fruit of longsuffering: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy 4:2 fruit of gentleness: Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32 fruit of goodness: I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another. Romans 15:14 fruit of faithfulness: Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. 1 Corinthians 4:2 fruit of meekness: to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone. Titus 3:2 fruit of self-control: Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.  For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:15-16 The Believer is to Die to Self, walk in the Spirit humbly (vs. 24-26)
