The joy of Christ:
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2
The joy of believers is the joy of Christ Himself reigning within their hearts.
Joy is divine.
And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
Acts 13:52
Joy does not depend on circumstances or happiness.
But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Psalm 5:11
Joy springs from faith.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
Joy of future reward makes and keeps one faithful.
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race
and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying
to the good news of God’s grace.
Acts 20:24
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now,
you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,
But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ,
so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
1 Peter 1:8, 4:13
The joy of believers is fulfilled as believers study His Word,
the promises and commandments which He made.
When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight,
for I bear your name, Lord God Almighty.
Jeremiah 15:16
I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world,
so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.
John 17:13
